Please note the following important information:
- Whilst the plan making role remains with the relevant Local Authorities, in 2015, decision-making planning powers were transferred from Kent County Council, Dartford Borough Council and Gravesham Borough Council to Ebbsfleet Development Corporation to support regeneration in the area.
- Since 1998, Medway Council has operated as a single-tier unitary authority in Kent, independent of Kent County Council’s statutory roles. While administratively independent, Medway remains part of the ceremonial county of Kent.
